Would Smallville Season 9 bring some surprises?
The news is finally out that Smallville Season 9 has been confirmed by The CW network. What would the season be like? The answer completely depends upon Tom Welling’s, portraying Clark Kent the main character of Smallville, contract with the show. His stay with the show is not confirmed and no official words are given for the same. It is no-way apparent whether he would return as a regular character or not. Right now, I can remember the beginning of season 8 of Smallville. What was the response of fans’ when Kristin Kreuk and Michael Rosenbaum, two main stars of the show decided not to return with the season 8? Though it left people stunned, their departure failed to affect the overall quality of the show. The introduction of new characters filled up the void left.
But, as of now, it seems that no body can cover up the things if Tom Welling leaves ‘Smallville’. And, if somebody replaces Tom, do you think, we’d continue loving Clark Kent? It’s a known fact that we come to identify a character with the actor/actress, who plays that role. Once we get used to watch a particular person playing a particular role, it becomes hard to accept any other actor taking over. Being a huge fan of Smallville, my view is that Tom Welling’s exit would hurt the high ratings of Smallville TV show.
Well, other news coming out is that Smallville would be introducing a new character in the ninth season. It’d be Mason, a man in his early 30s, completely in love with life but with a few dark secrets. It has not been confirmed by the network yet who would portray the character of ‘Mason’.
Several questions need to be answered and the network seems in no hurry to make those answers public. Let’s see when they make all the announcements. I think it’ll… Smallville is one of the best tv shows and all seasons of this show are really amazing. I am very excited for this new season.
