Personal Life- The brilliant Canadian born actress is daughter of Dutch father and Chinese mother. She has been a wonderful gymnast. She wanted to study in Psychology, environmental science or Forensic science, but her drama teacher encouraged her to go for the auditions of TV series Edgemont, as the director was impressed of her looks. She had no experience of acting other than the high school musicals but she got selected in one shot, and her acting career began.
Career Credits- Kreuk started her career with Laurel Yeung’s role as a Chinese Canadian girl in Edgemont, a teen soap opera of Vancouver area high school. Then she played popular Snow White in movie ‘Snow White: The fairest of them all’ in 2002. Then her agent sent her audition tape to screen writers of Smallville who were in the selection process, and they called up Kristin for the auditions in California. Although they had a plan to choose somebody for Clark’s role first, But Kristin was the first to be recruited. In 2003 she left Edgemont and in 2004 played Tenar in miniseries, ‘Legend of Earthsea’. For films, she worked in ‘Eurotrip’ in 2003. In 2005 she got her most popular role in film ‘Partition” based upon 1947 partition of India. She played Naseem Khan a 17 year old girl, is distraught due to trauma of partition. In 2006 she worked in Dream Princess Movie.
Upcoming Projects- She has signed a movie ‘The Street Fighter the Legend of Chun Li’. To be released in 2009.
In Lana Lang role- She is playing a beautiful popular girl and love interest of Superman/ Clark. She is very nice and sympathetic girl with a hole in her heart. Clark fears that if she will know his reality then she won’t love him. Lana is not coming as a regular character in Season eight.
